Common Questions
Can I book in advance?
Yes! We require a $200 USD deposit to secure the booking that will turn into your security deposit (to cover any damage) once you have paid the total amount and are heading out. The $200 USD will be returned back to you once we have inspected the bike upon your return and there is no damage.
Do you provide any gear?
A helmet, goggles and gloves are included with each rental subject to availability. If you need anything extra, we suggest you bring it along with you for the trip. In most cases, a decent set of walking boots and pair of jeans should suffice for all but the most extreme trails.
I don't know how to ride, can I still book a rental with you?
The answer to this depends, but more often than not, we will probably recommend that you rent something a bit smaller. Our Honda CRF250Ls are big, powerful machines that can take you anywhere and bring you back in one piece. However, they are only as good as the rider, and if you have never ridden a big bike before, you could seriously injure yourself.
However, we are investing in a fleet of smaller, easier-to-handle motorcycles that are not only better suited to novice riders but also require very little in the way of maintenance.
Do you include a guide?
All rentals are booked as-is, meaning that all we offer is the motorcycle (along with select gear). However, you can book your own tour guide to accompany you, and we are happy to help you with that. If you really want to experience the most remote areas of Laos, it may be worthwhile checking out our tours that include a guide and a host of other extras.
Do you have insurance?
We have 3rd party insurance that will cover costs up to a certain amount if you damage other property. You are responsible for any costs exceeding this amount and any damage inflicted on the bike. Note that coverage only works if you have an IDP.
Can I ride with a pillion passenger?
No. Although Honda CRFs are capable of carrying passengers in theory, we do not allow this due to the damage it can cause to several components of the bike (subframe, exhaust etc.).
General Terms And Conditions
We do not offer 1 day rentals (2 days minimum)
Rentals will be supplied with Helmets & Gloves, Tools & Tubes on an as-is basis (if you book ahead, we can reserve certain gear)
Deposits are required to secure bookings. Deposits are $200 USD per bike and will turn into your security deposit when the rental begins.
The security deposit is to cover any damages that may occur while using our motorcycles.
Full payment must be made in cash before the hire commences. Hire documents will be issued to the hiring person.
A $200 refundable security deposit is required per bike. A copy or picture of a passport is also required (we don’t keep your passport, but we need a copy of the details and visa).
All bikes come with third-party insurance (only applicable if you have an IDP), but be aware that this will only cover damage to other road users up to a certain amount. Renters are responsible for any and all costs that occur when they are out on the bike.
A helmet, a lock, inner tubes, tools, and gloves are included in the price.
Accident damage is not included. You will be given the opportunity to check the bikes before you take them. Prices for damaged parts are available to all.
There is no theft insurance. Bikes have third-party insurance only. Renters are responsible for the security of the bike during the rental period.
The rental period is per day (not by 24 hours).

- Full refund 30 days before the start date.
- 75% Refund 21 days before start date
- 50% Refund 14 Days before start date
- Under 14 days before start, no refund.
Once the rental is underway, there are no refunds.
The customer pays banking charges.
We consider circumstances in all of our terms and conditions, and we are happy to discuss things on a case-by-case basis.
We are extremely fair, but you must understand that if anything is damaged or missing, you will pay for it.
